These terms govern the use of orgatc.info and the purchase of the professional development and career coaching services provided by Orgatc. Please read them before signing up: by booking an intro call or purchasing a plan you confirm that you have read and accepted them.
1. Scope and acceptance
Orgatc provides one-to-one professional coaching and management training to adults aged 18 and over. Browsing the site is free and carries no obligation. Purchasing a plan means accepting the version of these terms published at the time of purchase; keep a copy, or note the version number in the header of this page, for your records.
2. What each plan includes
The specific scope of each plan is the one published in the Pricing section of this site, together with the written proposal you receive after the intro call. In general terms, every program includes:
- A free 45-minute intro call, with no obligation to sign up.
- A written plan recording your starting point and two or three objectives, each with an agreed way of checking it.
- The number of 60-minute one-to-one sessions stated in your plan, in person at our office or by video call.
- The corresponding exercises and a written summary after each session.
- Email questions to your coach between sessions, answered within one business day (Monday to Friday, 9:00–17:00 Atlantic Time).
The reference length of the full program is 25 weeks. Time periods in these terms are counted in business days in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
3. What we do not promise
Orgatc does not guarantee any employment or financial outcome. We do not promise, and cannot promise, a promotion, a salary increase, a job offer, an internal appointment, a level of income or any particular business result. Those decisions rest with your employer, with the organisation interviewing you, and with market conditions none of us controls. What you are buying is the coaching, the material and the hours of work set out in your plan.
Orgatc's services do not constitute legal, accounting, tax, financial or investment advice, nor psychological, psychiatric or medical care of any kind. Coaching works on concrete professional objectives; if during the program we form the view that what you need falls into one of those fields, we will say so and suggest you consult a qualified professional.
Orgatc is not an employment agency or a recruiter. We do not place candidates, we do not submit your profile to employers, and we do not manage applications on your behalf. The programs are continuing professional development and do not lead to a degree, diploma, certificate of qualification or professional designation, and Orgatc is not a designated learning institution. On completion we issue a certificate of participation in our own name, which records attendance and nothing more.
4. Intro call and sign-up
- You submit the form on this site, email info@orgatc.info, or telephone us.
- We arrange the free 45-minute intro call.
- If the program fits, you receive a written proposal setting out the plan, the schedule and the price.
- Accepting that proposal in writing, and paying the first instalment, starts the program on the agreed date.
Orgatc may decline a sign-up where, in our professional judgement, the service is not suitable for the situation described, or where there is no capacity in the intake requested. In that case nothing is charged and we will offer the next intake.
5. Prices, billing and taxes
All prices shown on this site are in Canadian dollars (CAD) per month and exclude taxes. Harmonized Sales Tax is added at the rate in force in Nova Scotia on the date of invoice and is shown separately on every invoice.
Monthly plans are billed in advance by credit card or Interac e-Transfer. The annual option is billed once up front with a 30 % discount applied to the monthly rate. We issue an invoice for every payment.
We may change our published prices at any time, but a price change never applies to a program already under way: the rate you signed up at holds for the full term of your plan.
6. 7-day refund guarantee
If within 7 calendar days of your first session you decide the program is not right for you, you may request a refund of the amount paid by writing to info@orgatc.info. We do not ask for reasons. The refund is issued by the same method you paid, within 10 business days of the request. The guarantee may be used once per person.
7. Cancelling and rescheduling
- Monthly plans have no minimum term. Tell us before the current month closes and the next month is not charged.
- The annual option may be cancelled at any time. The unused portion is refunded on a pro-rata basis, calculated from the end of the month in which you give notice, less any discount already taken on months consumed.
- Rescheduling a session is free with at least 24 hours' notice. With less than 24 hours' notice, or if you do not attend, the session counts as delivered. We apply the same rule to ourselves: if we have to move a session with less notice than that, you receive an additional session at no charge.
8. What each side agrees to
Orgatc agrees to deliver the service with professional diligence, keep to the agreed schedule, provide the material promised, answer questions within the stated time, and maintain confidentiality.
You agree to attend the sessions booked, to do the exercises — the program does not work without them — to give accurate information about your situation, and to treat the material as licensed to you personally.
9. Material and intellectual property
The exercises, templates, work plans, site copy, illustrations and the Orgatc name are owned by Orgatc. On purchasing a plan you receive a personal, non-transferable licence of unlimited duration to use the material in your own professional work. You may not reproduce it for resale, distribute it, teach it as your own training, or share it with third parties without our written permission.
10. Limitation of liability
Orgatc is responsible for delivering the service you contracted. Decisions you take on the basis of the work are yours, and Orgatc is not responsible for their employment, financial or commercial consequences. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Orgatc's total liability for any claim arising out of the service is limited to the amount you actually paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, for personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Your consumer rights
Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act of Nova Scotia or under other applicable Canadian consumer protection law. Where any clause here conflicts with a right you have under that legislation, the legislation prevails and the rest of these terms continues to apply.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version that applies to you is the one published when you purchased your plan, and we will not apply a later version to a program already running without your agreement. Material changes are notified to active clients by email.
13. Governing law
Law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Nova Scotia and the federal laws of Canada applicable in it. The courts of Nova Scotia have jurisdiction over any dispute, without affecting any right a consumer has to bring proceedings in the courts of their own province of residence.
